As far as I'm concerned, it seems like most people seem to think some kind of council is a good thing. It just needs a few more guidelines to focus it and then nominations and voting and all that painful bureaucratic rubbish

But making it an optional thing when its presented to the community isn't a smart move; it'll get talked over and die in the house (so to speak). Have to ask for nominations instead of making it a delicate 'hey there lads and ladies, we were thinking possibly we might do this or that - what do you think?'. Needs to be more 'We're doing this. If you want say in it, talk now or forever hold your peace'
No- right- a little leadership can be a good thing. Neccessary in this case. I learnt all about it in law school, you just have to DO it or else it wont happen. We dont even have the paperwork excuse.
